On February 16, the Vietnamese government announced a goal to fully resume visa insurance, visa waiver programs and reopen inbound tourism by March 15, 2022.

Per the 2022 regulations for traveling to Vietnam, you may need to quarantine where you are or be admitted to a hospital authorized to treat COVID. If you are hospitalized, you will be responsible for paying for your stay. You must have access to money and know what your insurance will cover. Because of this, it is more important than ever to get travel insurance. Be prepared for your plans to change or to stay longer if you test positive for COVID while traveling.
