This Vietnam tour for veterans was designed for Mr. Maury and Tom who returned to Vietnam in April 2007.
Tom Gooch and Maury were both helicopter pilots way back then. They have a number of places to see but their PRIORITY REQUEST is to visit the crash site where MAURY’S brother died in 1969. His brother was MIA until 1989 when Vietnamese government returned his remains and a location for the crash site which is near Bong Son close to a village North East of LZ BIRD.

$1,071/per Person – Price is based on minimum of two persons traveling together, twin share or double bedded room at 3 Star hotel. Itinerary may change, depending on flight schedule, road and weather conditions. Domestic flights are NOT included.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh arrival (G)
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh City (B, G)
A morning drive will take you to visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels, a byzantine maze of underground passages, chambers, rooms and booby traps used by both the Vietminh and the Viet Cong to suddenly materialize as if from nowhere, launch a lightning ambush, and vanish equally rapidly. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Nha Trang (B, G)
Your time will be your own until your private car and driver arrives to take you to Tan Son Nhat airport to board the noon flight to Nha Trang. On arrival, you’ll find a car and driver waiting to take you to your hotel, you’ll have a chance to visit the place which used to be the 8th field hospital en-route. You’ll spend the night in Nha Trang.
Day 4 to day 5: Nha Trang free (B)
Your time will be your own!
Day 6: Nha Trang – Tuy Hoa – Quy Nhon (B, G)
At 08.30 am, your car and driver will arrive to take you to Tuy Hoa then Quy Nhon. On the way, you will visit the place which used to be the 91st Evacuation hospital and the Phu Hiep village. You’ll spend the night at Resort Hoang Anh Quy Nhon.
Day 7: Quy Nhon – Hoi Nhon – Quy Nhon (B, G)
In the morning, you’ll drive to Quy Nhon. Upon arrival, you will have time to relax before the guide takes you to Hoi Nhon to visit the crash site and take photos before you return to Quy Nhon for a meeting with NVA veterans. You’ll spend the night in Quy Nhon.
Day 8: Quy Nhon free (B)
Your time will be your own!
Day 9: Quy Nhon – Danang (B, G)
Your time will be your own until your private car and driver arrives to take you to Phu Cat airport to board the noon flight to Danang. When you arrive, a private car will be waiting to take you to your hotel.
Day 10: Danang – Ashau – Hue (B, L, G)
After breakfast, your car will take you to visit FSB Cunningham in Ashau valley via route 14 and then Aluoi to visit FSB Airborne. In the late afternoon, you’ll drive to Hue via route 49 (old name is 547) for hotel accommodation.
Day 11: Hue – Ho Chi Minh City (B, G)
You’ll take a morning drive to visit the Imperial Citadel of Hue before you board a noon flight to Ho Chi Minh City. You’ll have a chance to visit the Camp Eagle en-route. When you arrive, a private car will be waiting to take you to your hotel in the city center. After checking in, you’ll be free for a preliminary wander around District 1. Your overnight will be in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – Bien Hoa- An Loc – Tay Ninh (B, G)
In the morning, a car will arrive to take you to Bien Hoa and then An Loc in the afternoon where you were on duty. In the late afternoon, you’ll be driven to Tay Ninh for hotel accommodations.
Day 13: Tay Ninh – Ho Chi Minh City (B, G)
After breakfast, you’ll have a chance to see the old LZs in this area. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City free (B)
A free day in Ho Chi Minh City to spend as you wish.
Day 15: Ho Chi Minh City departure (B, DP)
Your time will be your own until your private car and driver arrives to take you to Tan Son Nhat airport for your departure flight.
