Day 1: Arrive Hanoi (D, G)
Our guide meets you at the airport and accompanies you to your hotel in Hanoi. You’ll have time to relax before you enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant this evening.
Day 2: Hanoi day tour (B, L, G)
You’ll enjoy an orientation of Hanoi by the visit to the Ho Chi Minh’s complex, One pillar pagoda and Temple of Literature. After lunch, you will experience the real Hanoi as you take a cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, along the winding streets where offering an exciting glimpse into Hanoi life.
In the late of afternoon, you will enjoy a wonderful performance of Vietnamese Water Puppetry. Each performance is accompanied by a small musical group playing Vietnamese classical and folk music.
Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Long (B, L, D, G)
In the morning, you’ll be driven to Ha Long Bay one of the most scenic areas in Vietnam. Over 3000 fascinating sculptured islands rising from the clear emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin.
In the afternoon, a visit to one of the most beautiful cave on the bay “Surprising Cave”, we will then stop at a beach and swim if you wish. Then the boat will proceed to a quiet cove to set up anchor for the night. All your meals will be provided on board, usually based on fresh seafood, and you’ll sleep in a twin cabin with an en suite toilet and shower.
Day 4: Ha Long – Hanoi – Overnight on train to Lao Cai (Brunch, G)
You will have a light breakfast pastry and tea or coffee and spend the morning cruising Ha Long Bay, followed by brunch just before docking around noon and leaving for Hanoi. You’ll be free until our car and driver takes you to the train station. Over night on train.
Day 5: Lao Cai – Ethnic market – Sapa (B, L, G)
You’ll arrive in the early morning, where you’ll be met and taken by car to visit a market frequented by ethnic minority peoples. After a picnic lunch, you’ll return to Lao Cai and continue your journey onto the mountains to Sapa. You’ll have time to relax and stroll around the town. You’ll spend the night at hotel.
Day 6: Sapa (B, L, D, G)
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll hike down a scenic valley calling in at the H’mong ethnic minority villages on the way. Later in the afternoon, you’ll be picked up by jeep to travel to Ban Ho village where you’ll have dinner and spend the night in a Tay family. Here you have an opportunity to interact and share cultural experiences with the family.
Day 7: Sapa – Lao Cai – overnight train to Hanoi (B, L, G)
You walk around Ban Ho village in the morning. In the afternoon, you’ll be picked up to return to Sapa and later in the evening, to Lao Cai station by van to catch the overnight train to Hanoi.
Day 8: Free day in Hanoi (B, DP)
You’ll arrive Hanoi in the early morning, where you’ll be met and taken to your hotel for relax. Time on your own.
Day 9: Hanoi – Hue (B, G)
You will have breakfast at hotel and free at leisure until transferred to Noi Bai airport to take a noon flight to Hue. Up on arrival, you’ll be met by our guide and enjoy a short dragon-boat ride on the Huong Giang (Perfume River) to Thien Mu Pagoda and the adjacent Buddhist monastery. From there, you’ll travel by boat to the magnificent tomb of Emperor Minh Mang and return to Hue by car.
Day 10: Hue (B, L, G)
In the morning, your guide will arrive to take you on a tour of Hue’s ancient citadel. Your lunch will be served at a garden house where the owner will prepare typical Hue food. After lunch, your guide will take you to the Museum of Antiquities, and then back across the river to modern Hue and the bustling Dong Ba market. You’ll spend the night in Hue.
Day 11: Hue – Danang – Hoi An (B, G)
Leaving Hue, you will travel over the Hai Van Pass, a beautiful scenic journey between Hue and Danang. Up on arrival Danang, you will visit the open-air Cham Museum which houses are the excellent collection of relics from this period. A stop will be made a Danang Beach. In the afternoon, you will take a walking tour of the delightful town of Hoi An. Your hotel accommodation in Hoi An.
Day 12: Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An (B, G)
This morning’s excursion is to visit the ruins of My Son, an important religious center during the height of the Kingdom of Champa (7-10th century) and a UNESCO heritage site. You will be free in the afternoon.
Day 13: Hoi An – Danang – Nha Trang (B, DP)
You’ll be free until your car and driver arrive to take you to Danang airport for your noon flight to Nha Trang. You’ll spend the night in Nha Trang.
Day 14 to day 15: Nha Trang free (B)
Your time will be your own!
Day 16: Nha Trang – Ho Chi Minh City (B, G)
In the afternoon, you’ll board a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. When you arrive, a private car will be waiting to take you to your hotel in the city center. Your overnight will be in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 17: Ho Chi Minh City tour (B, L, G)
Today you will explore Ho Chi Minh City – the former Saigon, once called the Pearl of the Orient. Your guide will show you the Notre Dame Catholic Church, the former Presidential Palace, renamed Reunification Palace which was the historic site on 30 April, 1975. You will visit the History Museum or the Museum of War Remnants and explore one of Ho Chi Minh City’s wonderful local markets to finish the day. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City
Day 18: Ho Chi Minh City – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, G)
After breakfast at the hotel, the guide and driver will take you to Tay Ninh to visit the Great Cao Dai Temple in time to watch the mid-day ceremony. After lunch, you’ll visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels. You’ll have an opportunity to get the unique experience of guerrillas living and fighting under ground during the war. Over night in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 19: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B, L, G)
I n the morning, you will leave for Cai Be to board a boat for a cruise on Mekong River. You’ll cruise down tributaries and water ways and explore the Delta. You’ll also visit a famous bonsai garden and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the gardens which are filled with ancients plants sculpted into strange forms and shapes. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Can Tho for hotel accommodation.
Day 20: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, G)
We will take an early start to see Cai Rang floating market. Perhaps, this is the most colorful, bustling and unique of all the markets of Vietnam. You will stop at one of the local house to visit the orchard and taste their delicious tropical fruits. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Ho Chi Minh City where you’ll spend the night.
Day 21: Ho Chi Minh City departure (B, G)
You’ll be free until your driver arrives to take you to Tan Son Nhat airport for your departure flight.
